Robert Giles
ROBERT
GILES is the owner and founder of Shorinryu Karate School (Renbukan)
in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A retired amateur boxer (golden
gloves & AAU), Giles Sensei started his Karate career in
1978 and was promoted to Shihan in 1994 by the Okinawan
Karatedo Association. After serving his country proudly in
the United States Army for 24 years, Giles Sensei earned his
teaching degree in 1963 and has been teaching since.
In
addition to Karate, Giles Sensei is also an accomplished
professional musician with over 40 years experience and
still plays actively.
